Call your state senator and assemblymember and ask them to stop SB 1373, which restricts access to mental health diversion by adding to the list of crimes that make a person ineligible.

Ask Senator Weiner to vote YES on SB 1103, which requires large home improvement retailers in California to publicly report immigration enforcement activity occurring on their premises and to disclose their surveillance data-sharing practices with federal immigration authorities.

A.B. 1709 weaponizes legitimate parental concerns by using them to hand over even more censorship and surveillance power to the government. Unaccompanied immigrant children in California are still being asked to face immigration court alone—often in a language they don’t speak, after surviving trauma and long journeys. The Children’s Holistic Immigration Representation Program (CHIRP) pairs these kids with attorneys and social‑service providers who help them enroll in school, access health care and food, and navigate complex legal systems with dignity and safety.

CHIRP’s current funding is temporary and at risk. Advocates are calling on state leaders to include stable, multi‑year funding (around $33 million) for CHIRP in the upcoming California budget so children are not left without critical support.

Republicans are busy rolling back federal non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people, so it is important that we in California pass our own. It’s almost end of session and these bills MUST pass.

AB 49 was introduced as part of a broader effort to safeguard immigrant communities in light of intensified deportation measures under the Trump administration. Previously, federal guidelines designated schools as “sensitive locations,” making them largely off-limits for routine immigration enforcement. However, in January 2025, the Trump administration revoked these protections, allowing immigration officers greater access to schools and other community spaces.

Thank State Senator Scott Wiener for proposing SB627, which would require all law enforcement officials in California to have exposed faces and wear identification. 

We can’t allow the Republicans to steal the next election. Call State Senator Wiener, and your Assemblymember (Haney or Stefani) and tell them that we need to perform mid-decade redistricting in California!
