Indivisible SF Calls for Divestment, Blocking Arms Sales, and end of Genocidal Violence in Palestine

We are saddened, angered and horrified at the situation that has unfolded in Gaza and subsequently in the West Bank. Since the horrific Hamas terror attack on October 7th, 2023, we have seen Israel respond with collective punishment, indiscriminate bombings, displacement, prevention of aid, and mass violations of human rights.

Israel’s actions since 2023 constitute ethnic cleansing and genocide which has expanded to Palestinian territory outside of Gaza including West Bank, as well as indiscriminate bombings in Lebanon.

In accordance with Indivisible National, we call for our elected leaders to end US complicity in the violence. We call for an immediate cessation of all U.S. military support for Prime Minister Netanyahu’s war, including military equipment and arms shipments. These weapons, funded by American taxpayers, are directly contributing to the escalating death toll of innocent Palestinian civilians and fueling a conflict that serves no long-term U.S. interest.

We are also announcing support for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions as a model for disentangling American interests from supporting Israeli military activity. BDS has successfully pressured American corporations into disengaging with Israeli business oriented towards surveillance and violence, most recently Microsoft.
