Indivisible California StateStrong (CASS) is a statewide coalition of Indivisible groups across California, including us. CASS has endorsed and prioritized a number of bills that will help California to stand up against federal immigration enforcement, rein in corporate greed, expand access to renewable energy, and protect our most vulnerable residents.

For these bills to move forward in the legislature, they must be passed in their chamber of origin by Friday, May 29, 2026. Our representatives need to hear from YOU that you support CASS's legislative agenda. You can find your state representatives here.

Take time this week to email your Assemblymember to express your support for the following bills:

  • AB 1537, prohibiting police officers from moonlighting as ICE agents

  • AB 1540, restoring access to the 988 suicide and crisis lifeline for LGBTQ+ Californians

  • AB 1633, taxing the hell out of private prison operators

  • AB 1655, preventing CalWORKs aid from being unfairly reduced when a child in the home is unlawfully detained by ICE

  • AB 1715, prohibits corporations from spending money on elections or ballot measures

  • AB 2122, ending bench warrants for infractions

  • AB 2483, allows formerly-incarcerated firefighters to be employed as firefighters after their release

  • AB 2564, prohibits surveillance pricing

  • AB 2765, expanding CalFresh and CalWORKs access for foster youth

  • AB 2768, expanding state university access for foster youth

  • AB 2769, expanding adoption access for foster youth

If your Assemblymember is Matt Haney, please also thank him for authoring AB 1633 which would establish the Private Detention Facility Tax Law!

Also, please tell Senator Scott Wiener that you support the following senate bills:

  • SB 942, requiring a public health license to operate a detention center

  • SB 873, prohibiting ICE arrests in courthouses

And thank him for authoring:

  • SB 747: The No Kings Act to provide the public the right to sue federal agents for constitutional rights violations.

  • SB 868: The "Plug and Play Solar Act" to remove barriers to balcony solar.

  • SB 895: Authorizes a bond for scientific research in light of unprecedented federal cuts.
