Republicans are busy rolling back federal non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people, so it is important that we in California pass our own. It’s almost end of session and these bills MUST pass.

AB 49 was introduced as part of a broader effort to safeguard immigrant communities in light of intensified deportation measures under the Trump administration. Previously, federal guidelines designated schools as “sensitive locations,” making them largely off-limits for routine immigration enforcement. However, in January 2025, the Trump administration revoked these protections, allowing immigration officers greater access to schools and other community spaces.

Tell Our Reps: Protect Protestors from ICE in their Districts

Thank State Senator Scott Wiener for proposing SB627, which would require all law enforcement officials in California to have exposed faces and wear identification. 

We can’t allow the Republicans to steal the next election. Call State Senator Wiener, and your Assemblymember (Haney or Stefani) and tell them that we need to perform mid-decade redistricting in California!

Indivisible is calling on every Democratic trifecta state to move forward with their own plans for a mid-decade redistricting plan. It’s time to fight fire with fire.

As of 2024 San Francisco was home to 50 billionaires, the highest per-capita level of any city in the world.  A wealth tax affecting only these top earners would create lasting revenue and prevent the kinds of cuts that are about to impact our city.
