My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I am a member of Indivisible SF.
I am calling to demand immediate action in response to President Trump’s unauthorized military strikes on Iran. Congress holds the power to declare war, not the president.
Thank you for supporting a War Powers resolution in Congress. You have both the authority and the responsibility to act. I urge you to:
Publicly call for an immediate halt to further military action.
Work to advance a War Powers Resolution to require congressional approval for continued hostilities.
Oppose any funding for unauthorized military escalation.
Demand full transparency and accountability from the administration.
Background
President Donald Trump has launched unauthorized military strikes on Iran, dragging the United States into yet another war without approval from Congress.
This reckless escalation is putting U.S. service members, Americans, and Iranian civilians in danger, all to advance a unilateral regime-change agenda that the American people never asked for and do not support.
We neither support nor condone the Iranian theocratic regime which oppresses its own people – particularly women – and fosters regional terrorism and religious fundamentalism, but the American public do not want another endless war in the Middle East. Congress has a constitutional obligation to assert its war powers immediately and block any further military action. The Constitution is clear: Congress, NOT the president, holds the power to declare war and to approve or disapprove sustained military engagement.
That authority is a duty.
Members of Congress must use every lever in their toolbox. From immediate oversight, to forcing a vote on a War Powers Resolution, to restricting or cutting off funding for unauthorized hostilities, to holding this administration accountable and putting an immediate stop to this war. We need to let Congress know we won’t accept anything less.
This Week's US Congressional Call Scripts:
Our Senators are standing with us.
Congress must hold the Trump/MAGA regime in check, and that includes defending broadcasters’ right to report the news and commentators’ opinions freely and our right to be well informed
Members of Congress must use every lever in their toolbox: from immediate oversight to investigating all the possible corruption the abrupt decision to wage war on Iran to hold this administration accountable and putting an immediate stop to this war. We need to let Congress know we won’t accept anything less.

Thank your Senators for standing against the SAVE Act and urge them to prevent the bill from being rammed through by Republicans.
The manipulatively titled “Stop the Sexualization of Children Act” proposes legislation to withhold federal funding if schools do not comply with the government’s opinion of what children should or should not be allowed to read. Tell Your Representatives: Vote NO on a National Book Ban!
Demand your Members of Congress continue to work to stop the war on Iran
Unfortunately, KOSA is back with revised language and deceptively incorporated into the Kids Internet and Digital Safety (KIDS) Act. Tell Your Representatives: Vote NO on KIDS!
