I’m urging the Attorney General to take immediate public and legal action on ICE kidnappings of political prisoners like Mahmoud Khalil and Rümeysa Öztürk. I hope to see actions like:
- Publicly condemning these politically motivated detentions;
- Investigating ICE activity in our state, including any recent abductions;
- Filing or joining legal challenges to protect our residents’ rights;
- Strengthening sanctuary protections across campuses, workplaces, hospitals, and other public institutions to shield immigrant and international communities from federal overreach.
