Oppose the increase in Pentagon funding of over 40%
Oppose any inclusion of the SAVE Act in a Pentagon funding bill
Oppose provisions in the NDAA, including measures such as Sections 219 and 622 in the House version, that would deepen military integration between the United States and Israel.
Reject efforts to make US support for the Israeli military more automatic, permanent, and insulated from public oversight.
Congress must not continue blank-check policies that deepen US complicity in illegal ethnic cleansing programs that run counter to international law and U.S. policy or hand over control of any part of our military to the Netanyahu government. I urge you to reject deeper military entanglement with Israel and support a foreign policy centered on diplomacy, accountability, and peace.
Background
House Republicans plan to wedge the SAVE America Act into a new, 3rd budget reconciliation package alongside $67 billion for the Pentagon and other supplemental spending priorities. They plan to include in it a $4 billion pot of incentives for states that require voter ID and check the citizenship status of every voter. While the Senate parliamentarian may reject this provision, we need our representatives and senators to strongly oppose passage of any such legislation. In addition, Republicans in the House and Senate plan to increase Pentagon funding through the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) by ~40% and give the Israeli army unaccountable and permanent funding.
