My name is _____, I live in ZIP code _____, and I’m a member of Indivisible SF. I ask the [Senator/Representative] to use their oversight powers to the utmost and hold hearings on ICE facilities including the new one in the Everglades.
Background
As masked goons—who, at least some of time, are ICE agents—snatch people off of our streets and send them who-knows-where, the Trump/MAGA regime has been scaling up their detention and deportation capabilities to process the sheer numbers of people they’re grabbing.
One example is the “Alligator Alcatraz” facility in the Everglades, which is already on the verge of opening and where Trump himself made a sadistic appearance yesterday. Trump talked about the native wildlife in the protected habitat as a lethal threat to the immigrants held there.
Our Members of Congress—especially Senator Padilla, the ranking member on the committee that oversees ICE—need to use their powers to the fullest to limit the worst of what is already a campaign of brutality and which will surely get worse over the next three years.
This Week's US Congressional Call Scripts:
Our Senators are standing with us.
Congress must hold the Trump/MAGA regime in check, and that includes defending broadcasters’ right to report the news and commentators’ opinions freely and our right to be well informed
Members of Congress must use every lever in their toolbox: from immediate oversight to investigating all the possible corruption the abrupt decision to wage war on Iran to hold this administration accountable and putting an immediate stop to this war. We need to let Congress know we won’t accept anything less.

Thank your Senators for standing against the SAVE Act and urge them to prevent the bill from being rammed through by Republicans.
The manipulatively titled “Stop the Sexualization of Children Act” proposes legislation to withhold federal funding if schools do not comply with the government’s opinion of what children should or should not be allowed to read. Tell Your Representatives: Vote NO on a National Book Ban!
Demand your Members of Congress continue to work to stop the war on Iran
Unfortunately, KOSA is back with revised language and deceptively incorporated into the Kids Internet and Digital Safety (KIDS) Act. Tell Your Representatives: Vote NO on KIDS!
President Donald Trump has launched unauthorized military strikes on Iran, dragging the United States into yet another war without approval from Congress. The Constitution is clear: Congress, NOT the president, holds the power to declare war and to approve or disapprove sustained military engagement. Urge your Members of Congress to use every let option available to them to oppose this war..
Urge your electeds to immediately support the resolution to remove US from hostilities in Iran and curtail presidential war powers.
