Chairman Thompson of the January 6th Select Committee recently said that the Committee would not refer Trump and his co-conspirators to the Department of Justice for prosecution. This is unacceptable. Please call upon the Select Committee to make criminal referrals to the DoJ. If they fail to do so they would be abdicating their oaths of office, and our country could still fall to Republican criminality.
Background
Looking ahead to any prospective jury trials of Trump and cronies, there is a real possibility that one or more Trump-supporting jurors could thwart the unanimous agreement needed for a verdict, regardless of the evidence. There is also the possibility that the illegitimate Supreme Court might “overturn” a guilty verdict. But there are no “we’re-playing-it-safe” routes out of the current anti-democratic Republican consolidation of power. We need our political leadership to act purposefully even in the face of risks. We need Democrats in positions of power to fulfill their institutional and patriotic responsibilities, and by doing so, to motivate Democratic voters and do political damage to Republicans. Timidity and appeasement will surely fail us. Bold, decisive action is what we need now. And it just might work.

This Week's US Congressional Call Scripts:
Our Senators are standing with us.
Congress must hold the Trump/MAGA regime in check, and that includes defending broadcasters’ right to report the news and commentators’ opinions freely and our right to be well informed
Members of Congress must use every lever in their toolbox: from immediate oversight to investigating all the possible corruption the abrupt decision to wage war on Iran to hold this administration accountable and putting an immediate stop to this war. We need to let Congress know we won’t accept anything less.

Thank your Senators for standing against the SAVE Act and urge them to prevent the bill from being rammed through by Republicans.
The manipulatively titled “Stop the Sexualization of Children Act” proposes legislation to withhold federal funding if schools do not comply with the government’s opinion of what children should or should not be allowed to read. Tell Your Representatives: Vote NO on a National Book Ban!
Demand your Members of Congress continue to work to stop the war on Iran
Unfortunately, KOSA is back with revised language and deceptively incorporated into the Kids Internet and Digital Safety (KIDS) Act. Tell Your Representatives: Vote NO on KIDS!
President Donald Trump has launched unauthorized military strikes on Iran, dragging the United States into yet another war without approval from Congress. The Constitution is clear: Congress, NOT the president, holds the power to declare war and to approve or disapprove sustained military engagement. Urge your Members of Congress to use every let option available to them to oppose this war..
Urge your electeds to immediately support the resolution to remove US from hostilities in Iran and curtail presidential war powers.
