Tell Our Senators to Publicly Decry the Discrimination of the Transgender Community

I am calling to ask that you publicly denounce republican’s continued attempts to discriminate against the transgender community.
Even though a recently proposed amendment to the SAVE Act, which was intended to bar transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports, failed in the Senate, not one democratic senator stood on the Senate Floor to publicly support the rights of transgender individuals and decry republican’s repeated efforts to limit their rights. I ask that you take any opportunity to publicly defend the transgender community in the future.

Background
Before the recent vote on the SAVE Act, two republican senators, Tommy Tuberville from Alabama and Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee, introduced a “poison pill’ amendment to bar transgender athletes in women’s sports (https://www.borderreport.com/news/democrats-block-save-america-act-amendment-to-bar-transgender-athletes-in-womens-sports/). While the bill has failed in the senate the four times it has been proposed, democratic senators have not taken the opportunity to go to the Senate Floor and publicly denounce the repeated attempts by republicans to discriminate against the transgender community.
Repeatedly, republican senators have introduced anti-trans legislation as a distraction to keep Americans from paying attention to the really important issues our country is facing, like the Trump Administration using the presidency to enrich Trump and his family or the fact that he has no plan for Iran as he drives our country into another forever war.
This war of choice on Iran is throwing the world into a recession and will most likely lead to a worldwide depression. He has criticised the policies of our allies and demanded that they take part in his war. This has caused all of our former allies to understandably abandon us and has destroyed our credibility on the world stage. Congress needs to take control of the situation and remove Trump as president, by invoking the 25th Amendment or by impeachment.
