My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I am a member of Indivisible SF.
Senator Feinstein and Senator Padilla, thank you for co-sponsoring S4573, the Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act of 2022, recently introduced in the Senate and which has bipartisan support. Now, we ask you to urgently pass it before this term ends.
Background
According to the U.S. Constitution, “The Person having the greatest Number of [Electoral] Votes shall be the President.” But in the lead-up to January 6, 2021, there was a concerted effort to change the electoral votes and block a legitimately elected president from taking office. This effort culminated in violence at the U.S. Capitol, an event without precedent in American history.
The U.S. Senate Committee on Rules and Administration—under the leadership of Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Roy Blunt (R-MO)—voted on a bipartisan basis in favor of the Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act of 2022, which should now be voted on by the entire Senate.

Urge your electeds to immediately support the resolution to remove US from hostilities in Iran and curtail presidential war powers.
