Tell the Bureau of Prisons: ICE Out Of Dublin: Make a Public Comment TODAY!
On Friday, May 1, the Bureau of Prisons published an environmental assessment, a necessary step in the property transfer process of FCI Dublin to ICE so they can reopen it as a detention center.
The public now has until June 1, to provide feedback on BOP’s plan. The ICE Out of Dublin Coalition is asking our community to submit public comments and tell the BOP: keep FCI Dublin closed, and keep ICE out of Dublin!
Tell Congress to Stop Detention Expansion at FCI Dublin
As a facility on federal land, congressional opposition is crucial to ensure FCI Dublin doesn’t reopen as an ICE detention center. Organizers maintain it’s easier to shut down a detention center before it opens so it’s urgent to ACT NOW.
Tell Your Elected Officials to Publicly Oppose the Reopening of FCI Dublin as an ICE Detention Center
ICE is considering reopening the notorious FCI Dublin federal prison as an immigration detention center. Our state and local officials MUST publicly and forcefully oppose it.
