My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I live in District _____. I am a member of Indivisible SF.
My name is (your full name here) I’m calling today to urge you to protect San Francisco’s communities from devastating cuts and instead invest in the essential services our communities rely on.
As our City faces another difficult budget season, I ask you to reject the false choice of austerity. We live in one of the wealthiest cities in the country. Yet working-class, immigrant, and Black and Brown communities are being told that there's not enough to go around, while tech billionaires sue the City to avoid paying their fair share.
I support the priorities of the People’s Budget Coalition, and I urge you to:
Use San Francisco’s reserves now—this is exactly what they are for. Our communities are facing eviction, food insecurity, and mental health crises. We cannot afford to wait.
Unfreeze the $415 million being held due to Big Tech lawsuits—this money is urgently needed to keep people housed, fed, and safe.
Stop cutting life-saving programs. Cuts to healthcare, housing, homelessness services, and public education are not just budget decisions, they are moral ones.
Invest in what our communities need most: affordable housing, food assistance, cash aid for families, mental health care, childcare, services for older adults and people with disabilities, and immigrant legal services.
Reject the billionaire agenda. Big Tech and Trump-aligned corporate interests are using the same playbook, stripping funding from working-class communities to enrich the wealthiest. Our city must not be complicit in that agenda.
Now is the time to stand with your constituents, not with greedy corporations. The people of San Francisco are watching - do right by our communities.
Please show us your leadership and ensure our city’s budget reflects our values of equity, care, and justice.

Join the email campaign to demand Airbnb, Uber and Lyft drop the lawsuits.
The People’s Budget Coalition is continuing to fight to bring light and transparency to the City budget process and they are not alone. Throughout the Bay Area, people are flexing their power in Budget fights. The SF Chronicle Editorial Board in an Op Ed seems to be nervous about communities standing up together for our needs. Let’s keep fighting! #DropTheLawsuits #NeedNotGreed #PeoplesBudget

Background
A budget is a moral document and an expression of values. As Indivisible, San Francisco, we know that all people, no matter where they live, what they look like or who they love deserve safety and well-being. As we, at ISF Local and State Action, began reaching out to collaborate with others to fight for our values right here in San Francisco, we learned about The People’s Budget Coalition, a part of SF Rising . We continue to meet with the People’s Budget Coalition who convenes 150 non profit organizations, unions and advocates who work to democratize the city budget to make sure every voice is heard. ISF stands with them in building lasting change and political power for working class people of color in San Francisco.
