My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I am a member of Indivisible SF.
As my elected representative, I thank you for the work you have already done to redress economic injustice and I urge you to do everything in your power to support and make the public aware of:
Raise the Wage Act (HR.582 and S.150). Co-sponsored by Representatives Pelosi and Speier and Senators Feinstein and Harris, these companion bills raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2024. This would lift up wages for nearly 40 million working people (including 23 million women and 5 million single parents) and also provide a huge boost to the economy through increased purchasing power.
FAMILY Act (HR.1185 and S.463). Co-sponsored by Senators Harris and Feinstein and Representative Speier, these companion bills provide paid family and medical leave benefits for hard working Americans.
Social Security 2100 Act (HR.860 and S.269) Co-Sponsored by Representative Speier, these companion bills ensure Social Security solvency, increase the minimum retirement benefit, and increase all benefits for retirees by making the wealthy pay their fair share into the program and gradually raising Social Security taxes by a modest amount.
[Senate only] Paycheck Fairness Act (HR.7 and S.270). Co-sponsored by Representatives Pelosi and Speier and Senators Feinstein and Harris and already passed by the House, these companion bills provide more effective remedies to victims of discrimination in the payment of wages on the basis of gender.
