Indivisible SF endorses the AFT 2121 slate for City College Board: Leah LaCroix, Jeremy Lee, and Dr. Bunny McFadden.
Running as a pro-labor, student- and worker-centered slate, these three candidates are backed by the City College Faculty Union (AFT 2121) and co-endorsed by the SEIU 1021. LaCroix, Lee, and McFadden are committed to protecting Free City College, growing enrollment, and ensuring financial transparency.
In contrast, a coalition that includes GrowSF, the conservative DCCC, and the Mayor supports an alternative slate. This slate of candidates jeopardizes the Free City College Initiative and risks future program cuts similar to those proposed in the Mayor's June 2026 budget cycle.
A thriving CCSF requires leaders who understand the intersecting demands of its diverse student body. This slate blends lived experience with the technical expertise needed to manage the college's distinct operational model:
Leah LaCroix wants to prioritize consulting student leaders, faculty and staff unions. A former CCSF student and experienced elected official, she plans to focus on affordability and student access. She will bring needed Black community representation to the Board.
Jeremy Lee wants to grow enrollment, strengthen Cantonese and language access, and support long-term financial stability. He is a third-generation San Franciscan raised in a union household and a Chinatown community leader.
Dr. Bunny McFadden wants to increase student participation and expand outreach across satellite campuses. A Chicana working mom, classroom educator, and first-generation college graduate, she will focus on community education and strengthening bridges to higher education.
LaCroix, Lee and McFadden are the Board of Trustees slate of candidates we need right now. These three candidates will defend the college by prioritizing education, educators, and students in every decision.
Please note: All of Indivisible SF’s endorsements are member-initiated. This endorsement was raised after our print materials were finalized, so it will not appear in them. This is in no way reflects a lack of enthusiasm or conviction, merely a surplus of great causes and insufficient hours in the day.
