This proposed ballot initiative seeks to impose a one-time 5% tax on net worth over $1 billion for California residents. We are gathering signatures until June 2026 to place this measure, aimed at funding healthcare via a 2026 Billionaire Tax Reserve Fund, on the November 2026 ballot. SEIU-UHW is running training sessions for volunteers to learn the "Billionaire Tax" pitch and collect signatures to solidify the Act’s place on the ballot.

Divest California Pensions from Tesla
California's statewide public pension funds hold billions of dollars in Tesla stock. As beneficiaries of CalSTRS and CalPERS as well as California taxpayers, we are organizing to divest our public pension funds from Tesla. Our public pensions should not be funding Musk's assault on our jobs, our state and our democracy.

Gather for a quick training and petition supplies distribution. After that, we'll collect signatures of passing walkers and bikers with the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition for both Connect Bay Area and Stronger Muni for All, funding public transit in San Francisco and throughout the five counties of the Inner Bay Area!
