We are Indivisible SF.
Our members act every day to enact our progressive values: strengthening democracy, healthcare for all, economic justice, climate justice, racial and gender justice and reproductive rights. On the federal, state and local level, we hold our elected officials accountable!
Civics-travaganza Sunday! Come make art and learn about democracy with us.
Join us for a community celebration of International Democracy Day, National Voter Registration Day, and Constitution Day. We will have an informal tabling event where you can learn about how to defend our democracy, plug into current activism efforts, and meet your local organizers.
This Week's Top Actions
Stop Trump’s illegal deportations and renditions to foreign prisons! Free Kilmar Abrego Garcia from ICE detention
Republicans are busy rolling back federal non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people, so it is important that we in California pass our own. It’s almost end of session and these bills MUST pass.
Funds to the Trump regime must be stopped - even if it means a government shutdown.
AB 49 was introduced as part of a broader effort to safeguard immigrant communities in light of intensified deportation measures under the Trump administration. Previously, federal guidelines designated schools as “sensitive locations,” making them largely off-limits for routine immigration enforcement. However, in January 2025, the Trump administration revoked these protections, allowing immigration officers greater access to schools and other community spaces.
The dismantling of USAID is a disaster that is unfolding in real time with dire consequences. More people will die and probably by now are dying! Preventable illnesses will go unchecked and valuable medical research will be brought to a halt. Add to that the decimation of US farming communities and substantial job losses in tech and healthcare and you have a story that is woefully underreported in the media. We need you to reach out to media outlets to bring their attention to this situation and/or tag online, where and when the opportunity presents itself.
On Our Blog
As Trump’s slash-and-burn brand of government blunders its way toward the abyss, one of his early catastrophes has faded from memory. Dismantling the US Agency for International Development (USAID) happened so fast it had a blink-and-you’d-miss-it unreality. Staff fired, lifesaving programs halted mid-stream and lettering pulled off the headquarters building in Washington. Elon Musk and his juvenile band of DOGE thugs spearheaded the mutilation, calling the agency “a criminal organization” and “beyond repair.”
Indivisible National has been holding workshops on individual acts of resistance, with the promise that what each of us does as an individual will ultimately create change. If you want confirmation of that promise, read on.
Coverage of mass shootings often scapegoats transgender people. We go into detail about it.
