Join the Interfaith Movement on August 5th, 2026 for a public memorial to honor community members who died at the hands of ICE and support separated families together in remembrance, solidarity, and action.

An Interfaith Public Memorial and Procession on Wednesday, August 5th to commemorate Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Johan Sebastian Guerrero, and the many lives lost at the hands of ICE, while honoring Carlos, Ulises, and all survivors currently in ICE detention.

Program Schedule and Locations:

11 AM – An Interfaith Public Memorial will be held at 630 Sansome St., San Francisco, to commemorate and pay tribute to individuals who have lost their lives due to the actions of ICE.  Please wear black.

12 noon - A procession to 333 Bush St., Senator Padilla’s San Francisco office, will support those who remain affected by ICE, along with the delivery of the Hugs Beyond Bars Petition.

This gathering is held in solidarity with the national vigil on July 25.

We mourn the deaths of Johan Sebastian Guerrero, 26, who was fatally shot by ICE in Maine on July 13, and Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52, who was shot in Texas on July 7 and many others. We extend our prayers and deepest condolences to their families, friends, and communities.
