Justice for Lorenzo: Day of Action and Accountability Movement Call

On Tuesday, July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston, Texas. He was a dad driving a work van with his crew when he was gunned down. Then on Monday, July 13, ICE unleashed the same horrific tactics, fatally shooting 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero when they stopped his vehicle in Biddeford, Maine. His wife and toddler were forced to witness his murder.

Lorenzo and Johan were beloved members of their communities who were killed on their way to work, one to a job site, the other to start his day as a food delivery driver. Both killed by ICE agents spreading fear, sowing chaos and inflicting violence.

Join Disappeared in American and partners for the Justice4Lorenzo&Johan: Day of Action and Accountability Movement Call on July 15th at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT, where we will gather in solidarity to hear from Lorenzo’s loved ones and local Maine groups, get updates about the cases, and learn how you can take action over the coming weeks to demand Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Joan. Justice for All. ICE Out.

On the call we will provide tips and tactics to support you in taking actions that include vigils to be held across the country on or around July 25 in solidarity with community vigils taking place right now in Houston, across Texas, and in Maine.

The violence that took the lives of two fathers, American workers, and neighbors cannot be hidden behind secrecy, lies, or impunity. Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. ICE Out.

Come to this call to learn more about how you can join the movement to honor the lives of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Johan Sebastian Guerrero and demand justice.
