Last week, the Trump administration finalized a USDA rule change that will kick nearly 700,000 people off of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps. Two additional rules changes, that will increase that number to 3.7 million people, are pending and will be finalized soon. Congress can use the Congressional Review Act to stop this rule change - tell them to use this power!

Last night, under Trump’s orders, a civilian airport in Iraq was bombed, killing a top military official from Iran. This may be seen as an overt act of war, and pushes us closer than ever to war with Iran and further conflicts in the Middle East. We can’t afford more unjust, unauthorized, unending war. If the House votes on articles of impeachment, the trial in the Senate will be under the control of Republicans who will do everything they can to prevent Trump from being convicted. If Trump is acquitted, he will be an even greater danger to democracy. Therefore, the House should not send articles of impeachment to the Senate until there is some likelihood of winning a conviction.
