Background

Mayor Lurie’s office is asking the supervisors to allow him to solicit donations from local businesses to fund downtown revitalization without any oversight.  This would create a huge opportunity for corruption and bribes.  Asking groups who are doing business with the city to donate to the city’s coffers can very easily create a quid-pro-quo scenario, which, as you may recall, was the foundation of the first impeachment of President Trump.  San Francisco has a long history of corruption related to fundraising. Call your supervisor and tell them to vote no!
