Drumbeat to your Members of Congress: Protect our Elections and the USPS!

Senator Dianne Feinstein

SF Office: (415) 393-0707
DC Office: (202) 224-3841
LA Office: (310) 914-7300
Fresno Office: (559) 485-7430
San Diego Office: (619) 231-9712

If you can't get through to one office, try another.  There is no benefit to calling one office over another. Leaving a voicemail is as good as reaching a live person. Hate the phone? Resistbot is your friend.

Senator Kamala Harris

SF Office: (415) 981-9369
DC Office: (202) 224-3553
Sacramento Office: (916) 448-2787
LA Office: (213) 894-5000
San Diego Office: (619) 239-3884

Call the SF office first, but try the other offices if you can’t get through. If you can’t get a live person, leave a voicemail and also send a follow-up email written in your own words. Hate the phone? Resistbot is your friend.

Note: only one of the following two Congresswomen represents you. To find out which one, click here.

Call the SF office first, but try the DC office if you can’t get through. If you get voicemail, hang up and try a few more times to talk to a real person. Don’t give up! Short direct messages are most effective. Hate the phone? Resistbot is your friend.

Rep. Jackie Speier

San Mateo Office(650) 342-0300

DC Office(202) 225-3531

Keep calling if you don’t get through. Voicemails are logged daily into a central report across offices. Hate the phone? Resistbot is your friend.

Trump and his administration are endangering our elections. Our Members of Congress need to hear a constant, daily drumbeat of constituent input at this crucial point in history every day!

We’re focusing on the USPS issues this week. Did you know that many people don’t know what’s behind the USPS woes? Tell a friend or three, and then contact your Representatives. And let us know if you contacted your MoC! We’re counting (and we’re counting on you)! Like this post or make a comment.

Please tweet, email, Resistbot, or call one of the short example messages below to your MoC each day. When you've sent all four messages, write your own or reuse the ones below to create a daily drumbeat they can’t ignore.

Sample Messages

  1. My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I am a member of Indivisible SF. Thank you for demanding that Postmaster General DeJoy publicly answer questions in congressional hearings. His recent statement suspending some of his actions shows that he is feeling the heat from you and from us voters. But his pause only halts a limited number of his changes, it doesn't reverse the damage already done.

Trump and his Republican supporters are doing everything they can to rig and steal the election. We need you, members of congress, to be vocal loudly and often about defending our right to a free and fair election.

  2. My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I am a member of Indivisible SF. Thank you for demanding that Postmaster General DeJoy publicly answer questions in congressional hearings. His recent statements show that he is feeling the heat from you and from us voters. However defending the post office is not sufficient to halt long-standing and wide-ranging Republican attacks on voting rights and election integrity.

Trump and his Republican supporters are doing everything they can to rig and steal the election. We need you, members of congress, to be vocal loudly and often about defending our right to a free and fair election.

  3. My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I am a member of Indivisible SF. Thank you for demanding that Postmaster General DeJoy publicly answer questions in congressional hearings. The pressure from you and from us seems to be working! Keep it up! However the actions by Trump and his Republican supporters —  the voter suppression, voter intimidation, voting barriers and long lines in Democratic areas, and soliciting and cooperating with foreign sabotage — are still a problem.

We cannot rely on the courts, because the five Republican Supreme Court justices have shown time and again that where voting is concerned their loyalty is to their party not justice nor integrity.

It's up to you members of congress and to us voters to be vigilant and pro-active in defending our right to a free and fair election from now until a new president is inaugurated in January.

  4. My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I am a member of Indivisible SF. Thank you for scheduling an immediate hearing on Republican schemes to sabotage the post office for their partisan gain. And thank you for speaking out on the issue. As indicated by DeJoy’s recent statement, it seems our outrage is beginning to have some effect. But we need to keep the pressure on.

To that end, PLEASE have ONE competent prosecutor  in the hearing question DeJoy and the other witnesses instead of five minutes of TV glory for each member. The five-minute-each format allows the witnesses to dodge tough questions by using blather and deceit  to run out the five minute clock. We need a *real* and *effective* hearing to expose what Republicans are trying to pull to rig or steal the election.

Background

Trump is sowing the seeds of distrust in our upcoming with misinformation, while his administration is undermining the US Postal Service just as we need it for safe elections. The number one priority of our MoC’s needs to be ensuring a free, fair and safe election, where every vote will be counted. They need to be loud and vocal about it to counteract this administration’s misinformation attack, and they need to be vocal often. Deliver a constant drumbeat to your MoC’s to encourage them to proactively spread the message of their efforts to ensure this election happens!
