BelieveBrad.org Campaign Phase Two - Accountability: Sign the Petition!

We are pleased to report that Phase One of the “Believe Brad, Believe Survivors Campaign” was an incredible success! Phase One was intended to shame the supporters of Manny Yekutiel’s campaign for District 8 Supervisor and to get them to rescind their endorsements. After two more victims of sexual assault by Manny came forward on October 1st, Manny’s campaign collapsed in the span of just nine hours. There are several articles that discuss Brad Chapin’s complaint and the events following Manny’s downfall which can be found at BelieveBrad.org in the “Media” section.

Special Note for District 8 Voters: Even though Manny Yekutiel was forced to suspend his campaign, be aware that his name still appears on District 8 ballots! This is because the ballots were already being printed when he withdrew from the race and it was too late to remove Manny’s name. Don’t be confused and remember to not vote for him. If he were somehow able to gain enough votes to be elected as District 8 Supervisor he would not be able to be sworn in. Instead Mayor Daniel Lurie would have the opportunity to appoint somebody to replace him on the Board of Supervisors and this person would definitely be someone who will follow the Mayor’s bidding.

It is now time to focus on Phase Two - Accountability. The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office is still refusing to investigate and charge Manny Yekutiel for sexual assault, even though more victims have come forward. The City has clearly demonstrated that it has no intention of filing charges against Manny. We have created a petition requesting Attorney General Rob Bonta to remove the case from the City’s purview and investigate it at the state level. We ask that everyone reading this (and your friends and neighbors) go to BeliveBrad.org and sign our petition!
