Hilton Hotels Cooperates with ICE: Boycott them
Hilton Hotels has removed the Hampton Inn in Lakeview, Minnesota, from its reservation system because they cancelled the reservations of ICE agents.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) criticized the independently owned and operated Hilton Affiliate of discriminatory practices against ICE agents. The company responded on X: "We are taking immediate action to remove this hotel from our systems. Hilton is—and has always been—a welcoming place for all." All except anyone who might be targeted by ICE, apparently.
We support businesses that refuse to cooperate with ICE. It is infuriating that not only is Hilton openly cooperating with fascists, but also retaliating against one of their subsidiaries for refusing to cooperate.
As such, we recommend you boycott Hilton Hotel.
If it won't cause you too much financial hardship (some reservations may be non refundable) and you currently have reservations (or were thinking about staying at a Hilton affiliated hotel) you should cancel them and boycott all hotels in the Hilton chain as they are the latest corporation to cave to the demands of the Trump regime.

This request is in direct response to the recent news that Hilton has removed the Hampton Inn in Lakeview, Minnesota, from its reservation system after hotel staff reportedly canceled the reservations of ICE agents who attempted to stay there. I am outraged and deeply disappointed that Hilton appears to be punishing a property for refusing to host agents of a government agency whose actions many of your guests and employees reasonably view as abusive, discriminatory, and fundamentally at odds with basic human rights.
Many people, myself included, deliberately choose to support businesses that refuse to cooperate with ICE and other instruments of an increasingly authoritarian, xenophobic immigration regime. It is infuriating that Hilton is not only signaling a willingness to cooperate with this apparatus, but is also seemingly retaliating against a hotel for protecting its staff and guests. This looks like Hilton bending the knee to a fascist government, rather than standing up for the safety, dignity, and moral convictions of the people who make your business possible.
Given this, I can no longer, in good conscience, remain a Hilton customer. Until Hilton publicly reverses this decision and clearly commits to protecting hotels that refuse cooperation with ICE and similar agencies, I will not stay at Hilton properties, use your brands, or recommend Hilton to others. In fact, I will actively encourage friends, family, and colleagues to boycott Hilton and to direct their business to companies that are willing to stand up to fascist policies rather than enable them. Please confirm in writing that:
1. My Hilton account has been permanently deleted.
2. My personal data has been removed from your systems to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3. I will no longer receive marketing communications from Hilton or any of its brands.Your actions in this matter will determine whether there is any possibility of my reconsidering Hilton in the future. At present, your behavior reflects a grave moral failure and a profound disregard for the communities most affected by ICE and similar agencies.
