Public comment REOPENED: Stop Trump from taking food stamps away from 3 million people -- Deadline Nov 1

The Trump administration never stops trying to take food from the hungry… but with public pressure, we’re making progress to stop them!

On July 24, 2019, the administration announced its latest plan to disqualify three million Americans from the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP, also known as food stamps), this time by taking away states' ability to expand eligibility rules beyond narrow federal limits.

The public comment period ended with just under 130,000 comments on September 23rd - but recently, under public scrutiny, the USDA has re-opened it’s public comment period on this policy until November 1st.

Please comment directly on the proposed change with your own original comment in your own words. Well-informed, original public comment can help stop bad policy—the administration must address every point made, and arguments made and facts cited in public comments can be cited in court briefs. Public comment works—let’s keep doing it!
