I urge the Congressperson to reject “must pass” bills that contain poisonous Trojan Horse provisions that advance the extremist Republican agenda such as the House components of the Farm Bill or appropriations bills that contain money for Trump's border wall, additional funding for ICE or detention camps, more tax cuts for the wealthy, or further attacks on worker rights.
Background:
Negotiations on the last “must pass” legislation of the 115th Congress are taking place behind closed doors and we the public will only learn the details at the last minute. Therefore, I want to be certain that you, as my representative, will fight to pass clean bills that protect our families, communities, and the environment. Do not vote for bills that contain poisonous riders. If Trump or his Republican enablers threaten to shut down the government in order to ram through their cruel and hate-filled agenda I expect you to stand firm against them regardless of their threats.
