The Secretary of State race in Georgia is going into runoff on Dec 4. A Postcards to Voters campaign will be starting soon for this race. We’ll have more updates for opportunities to volunteer soon! And you can donate to the Democratic candidate, John Barrow, here.
Join us in getting out the vote at an upcoming phone/textbank (organized by our friends at Democracy Action) or a letter-writing party (organized by us).
On January 20, we call on our communities to organize teams, call your neighbors and classmates, and turn your back and walk out on fascism. Host mutual aid planning meetings, organize public service, but walk out to block the normal routines of power, and make the stakes real. This is a protest and a promise. In the face of fascism, we will be ungovernable.
Thursdays from 12-1pm, join our friends at Spiritual Friends Sangha to ground in meditation on the steps of City Hall, in response to the ongoing tragedies, too many to list. But here are a few.
Seems like for every big SF issue, there will be a vote in 2026.
The June ballot will have the fight for Nancy Pelosi's seat and special supervisor elections that test how much heat remains from the Engardio recall. In November, half of supervisor and school board seats will be in play, and the public defender’s race will highlight civil rights and public safety. There will also likely be taxes for public transit and bonds for affordable housing.
Who’s on your ballot? What are your hot buttons? Join the discussion with San Francisco State political science professor Jason McDaniel, Westside Family Democratic Club board member Cyn Wang, and Rose Pak Asian American Club president Jeremy Lee.
The San Francisco Public Press's Lila LaHood and The Frisc's Alex Lash will moderate the conversation and audience Q&A. Bring your questions, and don't leave any chads hanging!
Manny’s never turns away anyone for lack of funds. If you need a free ticket, just email "grapefruit" along with the event title to events@welcometomannys.com
