Books Not Bans together with City Lights and the San Francisco Public Library present a party for everyone who loves reading. Join us for an afternoon filled with connection, revelry, music, games and stories.
This event will take place in Kerouac Alley, situated between City Lights Bookstore and Vesuvio Cafe. It is free to the public.

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM – For Tweens/Teens
The day will start with youth focused activities. Group poetry and writing activities presented by 826 Valencia and Maggie Tokuda-Hall, and an open mic for youth, as well as crafting with DIY Museum.
2:00 PM – 2:45 PM – Read & Groove: music, reading, social activities for book lovers of all ages
DJ Lead Teddy of BFF.FM will be providing the soundtrack while we read books together and enjoy refreshments on this beautiful October day. We will have curated social activities as well.
2:00 PM – 4:30 PM – Open Mic, Author Readings, Games, and Group Poetry
