White Women Against MAGA with Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ)

In 2016, 47% of white women who in the presidential election cast a ballot for Trump. We know the stakes of this year’s election– Project 2025, total criminal immunity for the president, mass deportations, abortion bans, increased militarization of police– the list goes on. White women have a responsibility in this moment to step up to the plate and organize our own to do our part to stop MAGA.

Earlier this week, over 44,000 Black women joined a call to mobilize their support for Kamala Harris, the likely Democratic nominee. We know that MAGA will ruthlessly attack her race and gender in attempts to gain the support of white voters. Black women have called on white women to show up and block Trump this year. For too long, Black women and communities of color have been called on to “save democracy,” and it’s time we do more than thank them - it’s time for us to take responsibility for organizing in white communities. Fighting racism is the right thing to do, and when we fight racism all of us win big.

Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is the largest organization in the US that mobilizes white people for racial justice. Join SURJ in conversation with leaders from the Movement for Black Lives Action Fund to discuss how white women can show up in this moment, defeat Trump and elect Kamala Harris- and build the movement beyond November to truly enact racial justice in this country.

If Zoom reaches capacity, we will be live streaming on Facebook (facebook.com/ShowingUpForRacialJustice).
