Want to know how we’re organizing to build pressure on the Biden administration this year to stop approving new fossil fuel projects?
This Wednesday, join the 350 Network Council, Center for Popular Democracy, Climate Organizing Hub, Honor the Earth, and People vs Fossil Fuel partners for the End the Era of Fossil Fuels Mobilization Call.
What: End the Era of Fossil Fuels Mobilization Call
When: Wednesday, April 19th at 8pm ET / 5pm PT
Where: on Zoom (Live ASL will be provided on the call)
From rubber-stamping the Willow oil project to greenlighting massive expansion of fracked gas and oil export infrastructure in the Gulf, President Biden is breaking his campaign promises and failing to address the climate emergency by stopping the leading cause – fossil fuels. But this year, we’re building up to take the fight to end fossil fuels to the next level. Our call will highlight updates from frontline leaders of anti-fossil fuel fights across the country, grounding in the legacy of Indigenous leadership in fossil fuel resistance and share upcoming opportunities to skill up and take action as we escalate pressure for Biden to stop fossil fuels.
Speakers:
Elise Joshi – Gen-Z for Change
Gaagigeyaashiik (Dawn Goodwin) – Resilient Indigenous Sisters Engaging (R.I.S.E.) Coalition
John Beard - Port Arthur Community Action Network, Permian Gulf Coast Coalition
Dr. Crystal Cavalier-Keck – 7 Directions of Service
Morgan Brings Plenty – Indigenous Environmental Network
Tonyisha Harris – Action for the Climate Emergency
Jean Su – Center for Biological Diversity
Betamia Coronel – Center for Popular Democracy
This virtual call is only the start of a year filled with climate action, trainings, and mass mobilization to create the just future we deserve.
Come plug into our movement to End the Era of Fossil Fuels.
