Poor People's Campaign and Low-Wage Workers' Assembly

Moral March on Washington and To the Polls

Saturday, June 18th, 2:30-5:00 PM PT

Poor People's Campaign, a direct legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., is a national grassroots movement that is fighting poverty by calling out the lie of scarcity and calling for the right of everyone to live and thrive. We think it's immoral that there are 140,000,000+ poor and low-wealth people in the richest country in the world. If the rejected millions—the poor without health insurance, living wages, clean water, or voter protections—unite, we will save the soul of this nation and revive the heart of democracy.

Our months-long mobilizing is culminating in Washington, DC on June 18 to put the issues impacting poor and low-wealth people front and center, and to declare why we won't be silent or unseen anymore. The highlight of the event will be personal testimonies from persons directly impacted by policy violence. They'll be joined by co-chairs Bishop William Barber and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, faith leaders, national partners and moral allies, along with uplifting movement art and music.

Indivisible East Bay is supporting remotely with a virtual watch party of the event broadcast. RSVP here.
