In solidarity with people, especially women, especially survivors, in every state in the country, we will rally outside Sen. Feinstein’s office Friday at 1pm to thank her and Sen. Harris for their work yesterday on the Judiciary committee and their votes on the Brett Kavanaugh nomination, which—unbelievably—by then may have already happened.

After putting Christine Blasey Ford (and the rest of us) through that farce of a hearing in which Senate Republicans, hiding behind their “female assistant,” tried to bully Ford—and Kavanaugh tried to bully Senate Democrats—the Judiciary Republicans plan to vote Friday morning on whether to advance Kavanaugh to the Senate floor. Then they plan to start so-called debate on Saturday, setting up for a final vote early next week.

Meanwhile, we believe Kavanaugh is very very close to not getting the 51 votes needed to confirm, and we need to give wavering senators a little taste of what it will be like if Kavanaugh is confirmed after Thursday’s hearing. So we will thank our own senators for saying no, and rally in support of people doing the same thing at the offices of senators in Alaska, Maine, Arizona, and all across the country.

We have invited staff from both senators’ offices to come talk to us and take our cards and messages back to their bosses. Hope to see you there!
