Coming to The Bindery and Alembic, Let's Freaking Fix Homelessness Already: a Prop C Fundraiser
Have you heard about the bold! grassroots measure we are backing? It will house 4,000 homeless San Franciscans, as well as create 7,000 housing subsidies to keep fixed income folks—including seniors and the disabled—in their homes, create enough shelter to eliminate the 1,000-person waiting list AND provide millions of dollars for supportive housing and outreach for the mentally ill. Proposition C Our City Our Home is on the ballot, and all of us get to vote YES in November. We are excited for the possibility of a real, long-term solution to San Francisco's homeless crisis, AND SO ARE YOU: Come to our party, and help us raise funds to pass Prop C and make a real, people-centered change in our city.
When: September 25th, 7:30pm-9pm at The Bindery (1727 Haight Street) for an evening of Alembic's famous craft cocktails & delicious bar bites. We'll have brief remarks from the proponents of Prop C including our own Christin Evans, followed by Q&A and more treats. It's the civic engagement party you've always dreamed of!
Donate what you can to the measure here, or bring your checkbook to the event.
Doors at 7:30PM, program at 8:00PM. For questions regarding this event, contact Christin Evans at christin@booksmith.com.
