Citizen Sponsor needed: Support an Immigrant, Save a Life

We’ve received an urgent request from our community—a local immigrant needs a U.S. citizen to step up as a financial sponsor, or they risk deportation or detention.

Being a sponsor means helping someone stay in the U.S. by showing they won’t need government financial support. What’s needed from a sponsor:

• Three years of tax returns showing you earn over $29,000

• A letter verifying your employment

• Proof that you’re a U.S. citizen or resident (like your passport or Social Security card)

If this sounds like something you or someone you know could help with—even if you’re just curious and want to learn more—please reach out to us at info@indivisiblesf.org. We’ll connect you with the community group leading this effort.

More info about sponsorship is available at the official USCIS website: https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/affidavit-of-support

Even sharing this request with your network could make a difference. Thank you for being a part of this community.
