Regulatory Comment to Oppose the MAGA Regime's Offshore Oil Drilling Expansion.
Submit a Public Comment Directly at Regulations.gov. Deadline: January 23, 2026
The proposed 11th National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Draft Proposed Program [Docket# BOEM-2025-0483] would greatly worsen global warming, cost taxpayers billions in subsidies, while opening up California, Alaska, and Florida coasts to oil-spill pollution, rig-fires, and airborne contamination. The U.S. is already producing more oil and gas than any other nation in the world – most of which is exported for oil-cartel profit. America should be doing everything it can to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to counter the global-warming climate crisis, instead the MAGA Regime is rewarding their dark money petroleum donors with huge subsidies and vast new areas for their exploitation and greed.

What and how much you write in your Comments is up to you. Short is sweet ("I oppose this outrageous oil-drilling expansion.") – but long can be cathartic. Note that the number of people who oppose the change are what counts in influencing Congress to resist and providing support for legal challenges, not the length or eloquence of comments.
