Call Script

My name is __________. I am a constituent, and my zip code is _______. I am a member of Indivisible SF.

I want to thank the Senator for the strong stand she is taking to oppose the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh for Supreme Court Justice.

[Senator Feinstein only: I especially want to let Senator Feinstein know she has my full support regarding her decision to maintain the confidentiality of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and the aftermath that has resulted from her letter having become public.]

Last week's hearings were a complete sham perpetrated by a corrupt GOP on our nation and a complete offense to democracy and justice. Brett Kavanaugh's reprehensible behavior proved him unfit to serve on any bench, much less the Supreme Court.

I ask the Senator to publicly rebuke him for the following offenses:

1. Dismissing the multiple credible accusations of sexual assault and binge drinking brought against him;

2. His multiple lies throughout the proceedings, some of which may rise to the level of perjury;

3. His complete lack of basic anger management skills, combined with his belligerent, antagonistic behavior; and

4. His blatantly unapologetic partisanship, which is completely inappropriate for any judicial nominee.

While each of these four areas of concern should, by themselves, be disqualifying for any judge, taken collectively they demonstrate an overwhelming and complete lack of judicial temperament, inconsistent with an appointment to the highest court of the land. I ask the Senator to publicly rebuke him in the harshest terms possible. He is not fit to serve.

Background:
Feinstein's response to Donald Trump regarding her decision to withhold Dr. Blasey Ford's letter: "President Trump, Dr. Blasey Ford did not want her story of sexual assault to be public. She requested confidentiality, and I honored that. It wasn’t until the media outed her that she decided to come forward. You may not respect women and the wishes of victims, but I do."
