I ask the Senator to oppose the appointment of Andrew Wheeler as head of the EPA and Ronald Vitiello as Director of ICE.
Andrew Wheeler is a former coal industry lobbyist.
Ronald Vitiello was a top official at CBP and helped oversee the separation of 2,500 immigrant families in the Trump administration’s greatest self-inflicted humanitarian crisis.
Neither of these men is fit to serve, and it is imperative that the Senator does everything in her power to prevent their appointment.
President Trump said Friday that he intends to make permanent the appointment of former coal industry lobbyist Andrew Wheeler as head of the EPA, a move that would ensure the continued de-regulatory push at the agency.
And as of last Thursday, a Senate confirmation hearing was held for Ronald Vitiello, for appointment as Director of ICE. As a top official at CBP, Vitiello helped oversee the separation of more than 2,500 immigrant families in the Trump administration’s greatest self-inflicted humanitarian crisis.
