Just say NO to more horrible Trump judicial nominees!

Senator Diane Feinstein

SF Office: (415) 393-0707
DC Office: (202) 224-3841
LA Office: (310) 914-7300
Fresno Office: (559) 485-7430
San Diego Office: (619) 231-9712

If you can't get through to one office, try another.  There is no benefit to calling one office over another.  Leaving a voicemail is as good as reaching a live person.

Senator Kamala Harris

SF Office: (415) 981-9369
DC Office: (202) 224-3553
Sacramento Office: (916) 448-2787
LA Office: (213) 894-5000
San Diego Office: (619) 239-3884

Call the SF office first, but try the other offices if you can’t get through. If you can’t get a live person, leave a voicemail and also send a follow-up email written in your own words.

After eight years of obstructing judicial nominees under the Obama administration, the most egregious example of which was the foiled nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, the GOP has been consistently ramming through a cavalcade of far right extreme Federalist Society judges at a faster pace than any administration in U. S. history, by ignoring all traditional standards and procedural norms, including the long-standing Blue Slip process. As of October 11, 2018, the GOP has confirmed 84 Trump judges, including 2 Supreme Court Justices, 29 judges for the United States Courts of Appeals, and 53 judges for the United States District Courts.

Most recently - and immediately following the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court - Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Charles Schumer struck yet another deal to vote on a package of 15 judges, so they can recess the Senate and return home to campaign until the Nov. 6 election. Two of these judges, David James Porter of Pennsylvania to sit on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals and Ryan Nelson of Idaho to sit on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, are especially extreme and unworthy of confirmation.

In addition, last week Trump also nominated three more justices to fill California vacancies on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, without any consideration for California's home state senators, Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, both of whom also sit on the Senate Judiciary committee, again showing a complete disregard and lack of respect for procedural norms and standards. As such, I want the Senator to use every procedural tool at her disposal to delay, obstruct and derail these horrible judicial nominations.
