Biden Success Story Resources

The Biden Administration has done many significant things that progressives have wished for for decades. We must loudly celebrate these achievements, to build pride and hope and drown out the naysayers and doom-sprayers from the other side.

We’ve compiled some references you can consult to share the achievements we want to build upon by electing more democrats in 2024.

State by State Information

When talking with friends and relatives from other states, who may not be as aware of how much the Biden Administration has been doing for them, there are two sites for state-by-state guides:

Biden Administration Sources

Optimistic Individuals & Groups

Simon Rosenberg, a Democratic strategist, has established the Hopium Chronicles to help us retain our optimism in the wild media mixture we face: GOP Talking Points Evaporating, Congress Has Much To Do, Starting 2024 Strong.   His posts include charts and references from established sources for key points.

We referred you to the "What Biden Has Done” website before the midterms, because President Biden and the Democratically-led 117th Congress had already taken lots of action to address the emergency by June 2022, when this list was created: Joe Biden Major Climate Change Actions List.

There are lots of excellent groups trying to get the word out about the successes of the Biden Harris Administration to counteract the click hungry national news and troll infested social media sites.

  • Indivisible National has a searchable Resource Library with information and actions ready to go.

  • DemCast USA has lots of social media toolkits available, if you choose to introduce counterpoints to defeatist narratives.

  • The group that created decades of effective ads to sour millions of Americans on voting for Democrats, The Lincoln Project, recognized the fascism they had empowered and turned their skills toward defeating Trumpism through a series of ads, posted on their website. Their YouTube channel has those ads as well as their biting commentary.

  • Roland Martin Unfiltered / The Black Star Network presents daily news that both highlights the continuing challenges to progress, as well as the need to defend the gains made with the Biden-Harris administration.

There are hundreds of individual podcasts and substack pages that focus on different aspects of defending democracy, from daily maintenance to exposing the former president’s corruption to appreciating the progress we have made with Biden.

  • Jessica Craven’s Chop Wood, Carry Water is a political activism newsletter that comes out 6 days a week, and includes how you can make a difference by taking 5–7 minutes worth of easy actions. If you share the author’s motto that “Hope is an action,” you may want to subscribe.

  • Some political comedians who defend democracy and the value of voting to preserve all the progress we have made:

    • Dean Obeidallah has a weekday show on SiriusXM Progress, as well as a free podcast and YouTube channel. As a lawyer, he & his guests analyze the Trump indictments well. As a Muslim-American, he has thoughtfully addressed the challenges Biden has faced after the October 7th Hamas attack with Netanyahu in charge of Israel.

    • Hal Sparks serves two main objectives in his broadcasts on YouTube, Twitch, and other outlets: rebuts many right wing lies and highlights the economic achievements of the Biden administration. He speaks Chinese and follows their economy closely.

    • John Fugelsang is a brilliant writer whose specialty is exposing Christian camouflage– “people who say they support Trump and Jesus clearly have not read either of their books.” He has a regular weekday SiriusXM Progress show, a free podcast and YouTube channel. He is the son of a Franciscan Brother and Catholic nun, so he knows the Bible better than those who regularly post its verses.

  • There are many political analysts who remind voters of the hundreds of achievements of the Biden-Harris administration amid the national media focused on Republican talking-points. Here are a few useful substacks and YouTube channels:

    • Message Box by Dan Ffeiffer. “Message Box will look at the most recent polls, the biggest events, and the latest trends and pull back from the day to day punditry to explore how they are impacting American politics from the perspective of someone who has spent years working on campaigns and in Barack Obama’s White House.”

    • Pod Save America: “Pod Save America is a no-bullshit conversation about politics hosted by former Obama aides Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, Dan Pfeiffer, and Tommy Vietor. It cuts through the noise to break down the week’s news and helps people figure out what matters and how they can help”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries holds regular news conferences and posts them on his own YouTube channel, along with his media appearances and floor speeches.
